The
Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating a breaking and entering
that occurred at Estate Specialists located at
1228 Commerce St.
Lynchburg
VA.
The
crime occurred on
June 8, 2008
between the hours of
3:00 p.m.
and
midnight
. The
unidentified suspect(s) gained entry to the business by breaking a window.
Items taken during the crime included; a white in color Chevrolet
delivery van, a Dell computer with monitor, a Dell AIO printer, and a small
public address system amplifier. The
delivery van was recovered on Greenfield Dr. a short time after the break in.

Department is currently investigating a number of larcenies and breaking and
entering cases that have occurred in the
Rivermont Ave
area of
Lynchburg
,
VA.
The crimes have occurred on
the following streets;
Woodside Ave
,
Columbia
Ave.,
Denver Ave.
, the 1300 block of
Rivermont Ave.
,
Botetourt St.
, the 300 block
Charlotte St.
and
Cleveland Ave.
The crimes have occurred
over the past several months. On
June
19, 2008
, Bernard Andrea Wood was arrested in connection with several burglaries.
Further charges are pending against Wood.
Another person of interest who has been identified and is possibly
connected with the above mentioned crimes is Shekita Lynette Champion.
Champion is currently wanted on an outstanding Capias for failing to
appear in court. A picture of
Champion has been included with this Crime Stoppers Press release.

The
Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating a number of larcenies and
breaking and entering cases that are occurring in the
Rivermont Ave
area of
Lynchburg
,
VA.
The
crimes have occurred on the following streets;
Woodside Ave
,
Columbia
Ave.,
Denver Ave.
, the 1300 block of
Rivermont Ave.
,
Botetourt St.
, the 300 block
Charlotte St.
and
Cleveland Ave.
The
time period of these occurrences are from May 5, 2008 through June 15, 2008.
Items taken include weed eaters, chain saws, power tools, copper from
outdoor air conditioning units, jewelry, and electronic equipment.
On three occasions, the suspect(s), stole the copper out of 5 outdoor air
conditioning units. The total loss
in property in the above mentioned crimes is $22,390.
June 3, 2008
The
Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating a stolen payroll check
case. The stolen check was forged
and uttered at the Justis Convenience Store located at 1205 12th
St.
on April 28, 2008. The unidentified
suspect is described as a black female who, at the time of the crime, was
wearing a white T-shirt with red writing and a gray colored sweatshirt.
The suspect can be seen in the accompanying video.
