Over the past few months, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office has worked several cases in the Timberlake Rd./Evington area where elderly victims were targeted. In each case, the victims were approached at their residence by white males. While the first man distracts the victim, another white male goes inside the victim’s residence and takes their belongings. In each case, the offender talked to the victims about a consignment type store that he is planning on opening up in the Altavista area.

Over the past year, several locations have had similar types of crimes. These criminals are well prepared with their scam before they go to the elderly victim’s residence.
