Appomattox County

Larceny:  The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a grand larceny that occurred in their jurisdiction.  Between May 25 and May 29, 2007 an Aluminum Vaporizer was stolen from a farm on Hollywood Road in the Hixburg area of Appomattox County .  This article is made of nearly 100% aluminum.  It is approximately 250 lbs.  The retail value of this piece of equipment is approximately $4,000.00.  It was likely taken for its salvage value.  In addition, copper tubing was taken from the farm during the theft.   A digital photograph is available for this item.
