Lynchburg
Larcenies:
The Lynchburg Police
Department is investigating a series of larcenies from vehicles and tampering
with vehicles reports that occurred on May 1, 2009 between the hours of 9:00 a.m
and 10:00 p.m. The incidences
occurred in the Old Forest Rd. area including; Craigmont Dr., Ketterling Lane,
and Fountain Dr. Items
taken during the larcenies included music cds, ipods, and charging cords for
various electronics
Grand
Larceny: The
Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating a grand larceny that
occurred at Wal-Mart on Wards Road in the City of Lynchburg.
On
April 11, 2009 at approximately 9:32 p.m. two subjects entered the Wal-Mart on
Wards Road and walked by each of the front registers.
A short time later these two subjects approached a cash register and were
able to open the register and removed U.S. Currency.
After walking away from this register they approached a second register
and were able to remove U.S. Currency and then fled on foot.
The
suspects fled Wal-Mart after removing an undetermined amount of U.S. Currency.
They entered and left the store separately however they worked as a team
while conducting the theft.
After leaving the store they walked together to a small dark colored
vehicle and left the parking lot in an unknown direction.
The
suspects are described as follows:

- b/m, 6’0' 6’4", approx, 180 - 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans, dark
shoes, a dark baseball cap, a blue long sleeve shirt and a black jacket vest
with a zipper.
#2
- b/m, 5’10' 6’2", approx. 200 - 220 pounds, wearing dark pants, dark
shoes, a light colored shirt, a dark hat and a khaki colored jacket.
Both
subjects appear to be in their 50’s.
